Why triathlon?
I've always been into all sorts of sports, so it's no surprise that triathlon turned into a passion. What's more, I'm fascinated by the many different things that go into doing well in this sport.
How did you end up at Triamt?
In 2007 I joined the Baumgartners at a training camp in Tuscany, and that's how I got to know and appreciate the club and its members.
What do you like about Triamt?
Triamt is close to my heart. As a beginner back then I could pick up valuable tips from experienced athletes, and Hugo, our swim coach, taught me the basics of swimming as a triathlete. I also value the friendships built up over many years.
Personal goals
Qualifying for the 70.3 World Championship 2019 in Nice and finishing the TRI Circuit 2019 in the top ten of my age group again.
Post-race reward
With exactly the food I keep going without while preparing for a race. So as hearty as possible. Examples? Cordon bleu, hamburgers, chips
Weaknesses
Without competitors as pacemakers I find it hard to get the most out of myself in a race. That's especially true on the run.
