Training

Out together twice a week

Swimming on Tuesdays, running on Mondays, plus a monthly group ride on the road bike. All sessions are open to every ability – and you do not have to do all three sports to be part of it.

Swimming

Technique, endurance and confidence in the water – with a coach.

Weekly in the indoor pool, in summer outdoors in the Türlersee. An experienced coach gives technique input, and the groups are set up by pace. Also for anyone who has steered clear of open water so far.

Cycling

Group rides instead of a rigid weekly plan.

Once a month we head out together at the weekend – the invitation comes by email or WhatsApp. On top of that there is the annual club ride and a cycling holiday, for example in Tuscany. During the week there is almost always someone among the members up for a spin.

Running

Loosely structured, in groups – nobody runs alone.

Our running sessions are open to all abilities, from complete beginners to marathon runners. The training is loosely structured, so more than just a casual run together – but without the grim determination. Many of our members come to this session only.

From October 2026 we train together with LV Albis .

How a trial session works

You get in touch – we will be expecting you

  • Send a short email to info@triamt.ch or fill in the form. Tell us which sport you are interested in.
  • We come back to you with the meeting point and time and tell you who will look after you when you arrive.
  • You train with us – in the group that matches your pace. All you need to bring is your kit.
  • Enjoyed it? Then you can apply to become a member. New members are admitted at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in early February.

Frequently asked questions

What people usually want to know

Do I have to do triathlon to join in?

No. Many of our members have never done a triathlon and only come to the running or the swim sessions. You can pick one sport – or all three. Both are completely normal here.

How fast do I have to be?

You are already fast enough. We train in groups by pace so that nobody is out there on their own. Beginners train alongside experienced Ironman finishers – and both sides gain from it.

How do I get to a trial session?

Send us a short email to info@triamt.ch or use the form on this page. Then we know when to expect you. You are welcome to come along several times before you decide, with no obligation.

What do I need to bring?

Sports kit and the urge to move. For swimming, trunks or a swimming costume and goggles, for running a pair of running shoes. You do not need any special equipment – and if you have questions about it, there is plenty of experience among us.

What does membership cost?

CHF 110 a year if you are earning, CHF 50 if you are not. That includes the CHF 10 contribution to Swiss Triathlon. The running sessions themselves are free and open to everyone.

When do I have to pay the membership fee?

New members are admitted at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which usually takes place in early February. The fee is only due once you have been admitted – before that you train with us for free.

Is there a weekly cycling session?

Not as a fixed weekly fixture. Instead we ride together once a month at the weekend, hold an annual club ride every year and organise a cycling holiday. Among the members you will almost always find company.

I am no longer that young – do I still fit in?

Yes. Our members are anywhere between their mid-twenties and their sixties. Because nobody here is chasing a squad place, what counts is not your age but whether you enjoy being active.

Trial session

Just come along.

The first session is free and commits you to nothing. Drop us a line to say when you would like to come – then we know to expect you and you will not be standing at the poolside on your own.
