Our Triamt man crossed the line at Ironman Wales in 10 hours, 19 minutes and 14 seconds! That made him the fastest Swiss athlete on the day.
He came out of the swim just under the hour, and on the bike leg that followed he spent around 5 hours and 41 minutes in the saddle. Then came the long, hard run to the finish, of course, which he completed in 3 hours and 25 minutes.
A total of 1,859 athletes took part in the event in Wales, and in Oli's age group only nine of them managed to secure a ticket for the Ironman World Championship. Oli was one of them, taking an excellent fourth place.
We congratulate Oli on a quite exceptional performance and wish him the best of luck for his next trip to the United States.
